| TM AWARDED KENNEDY CENTER COMMISSIONING PROJECT 2009 |
| Choreographer Tehreema Mitha has been awarded the coveted Local Dance Commissioning Project 2009 by The Kennedy Center. This year there are only two recipients of this award chosen from amongst thousands of proposals. TMDC will Premiere this new dance in September of 2009 at The Kennedy Center Millennium stage on two consecutive days and subsequently at Dance Place. |

| SEND IN YOUR “FOOD STORIES” |
| If you attended our last performance at Dance Place, you will have heard us asking for your input. If there is some interesting special event, some eccentric person, or odd story associated with a particular recipe, a old memory that connects food to history or your particular culture…an ingredient used in a dish, or a particular festive meal, some luscious fruit and its scent that takes you someplace else… please send in your story to us in no more than 200 words. We will choose from the stories sent in and make dances based on them. We will be collaborating with actors, artist and musicians to present these new dances. |
